Hiking Alone

"Alright… this could be a really dumb idea, but I’m hiking the PCT alone."

Every time I tell someone that, I get the same reaction: “That’s so dangerous!” But let’s be real—men hike alone all the time, and no one bats an eye. The truth is, I feel way more unsafe in the city than I do in the wilderness. Out here, my biggest concerns are weather, terrain, and how many snacks I have left. Fear is a normal human emotion, but it shouldn’t stop us from stepping outside our comfort zones.

Being alone doesn’t mean being unsafe. It just means I get to walk this trail on my terms.
